Candra Cho serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Malden Rising Leaders, Inc (MRL). Candra loves engaging with Malden public school students and is excited to serve students through MRL. Candra has volunteered at schools to supports students and teachers in the class rooms during special events, field trips, and with extracurricular activities such as volunteering as judges at speech and debate tournaments and provide transportation throughout Massachusetts for debate team at Malden High.
Candra is happily married with two beautiful children, Brendon and Rasmee and has lived in Malden over 20 years. Candra was born in South Korea, who has immigrated to U.S. when she was 16 years old.
Prior to joining MRL, Candra worked as Director of Project Management at South Shore Mental Health Center where she was responsible for implementing Electronic Health Record and oversee various IT infrastructure implementation projects and develop strategic road map portfolios for the organization with senior leadership.
Candra graduated from Newton North High and tutored international students in math and history during her Junior and Senior year at the high school. Candra received Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Regis College where she served as a president of International Club and in the student caucus. Candra also earned Master of Science in Computer Information System from Boston University.
Malden Rising Leaders Inc. (MRL) is a non-profit corporation founded in Malden, Massachusetts in 2017. MRL’s focus is youth leadership and development through scholarship support and mentoring. Its mission is to help the Malden’s young leaders to engage, organize and advance their community’s development, by advocating on behalf of families. MRL provides a yearly scholarship to Malden High School graduating seniors to further their studies in the field of education, entrepreneurship, nonprofit, and public service.
